More than 50 New Exhibitors Sign up for 3rd CIIE！Sports and Fashion Lead to aNew Healthy Life
A large-scale signing ceremony bothonline and offline
Thethird China International Import Expo (CIIE) has made strong inroads inattracting exhibitors, with more than 50 global companies signing up for theevent during a ceremony that took place both offline and online on May 15.
Thecompanies that confirmed their participation are mainly from the United States,Japan, Germany, France and Italy. They include renowned companies from the USsuch as General Electric, Pfizer and Estée Lauder.
FastRetailing, the parent company of UNIQLO, also signed up for the CIIE for thefirst time, booking an exhibition area measuring 1,500 square meters. Among thecompanies that signed up for the expo at the ceremony, 54 percent are Fortune500 companies that have signed up for some 30,000-sq-m of exhibition space.
Tapestry,the parent company of a range of luxury fashion brands such as Coach, signed along-term MOC (Memorandum of Cooperation) with the CIIE Bureau during theceremony, promising that it will participate in the annual expo for the nextthree years. Jide Zeitlin, Chairman and CEO of Tapestry, said that the Chinesemarket is still strong and important to overseas companies, and that it alwaysprovides inspiration and drives brands to innovate. Zeitlin added that the CIIEoffers a great opportunity for foreign companies to further explore the Chinesemarket.
Sports and Fashion Lead to a New HealthyLife
In the last CIIE, the automatic inventory RFIDrobot "Dibao" of Decathlon had its world premiere as a "gift forChina". In the future, it will provide services on a global scale. As thethird CIIE is upcoming, "Dibao" has been providing services in 23Decathlon stores in Shanghai. This year, Decathlon gears up for promoting"Dibao" to more than 200 stores in China. The reason why Decathlonchooses China to first release and comprehensively function "Dibao"is that China has been the most important market in the global strategy ofDecathlon. Michel Leclerq, the founder of Decathlon, once indicated that Chinais the one and only most important market. Now, Decathlon has confirmed that itwill continuously advertise its core concept - "Make Sport Accessible toAll" in this year's CIIE.
